Seventh Arrest in Triple Murder in Farmville

 

The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office made a seventh arrest today in the April 1 robbery of the Hustle Mart-3 in Farmville and the deaths of employees, Mokbel Mohamed Almujanahi, 16, Nabil Nasser Saeed Al’mogannahi, 26, and Gaber Alawi, 24.

Ashley Dorthell Johnson, 23, of La Grange, was indicted Monday on three counts Accessory After the Fact of First Degree Murder. Johnson turned herself into the PCSO this afternoon.

Johnson is enrolled at East Carolina University and is a friend of suspect Willie Odell Whitehead, Jr.

Whitehead, 24, of Pinetops, Antwan Andre Anthony, 29, of Bethel; Xavier Shamble, 20, of Farmville; and Raekwon Terrell Blount, 15, of Snow Hill are all charged with three counts of First Degree Murder.

Zipporah Purvis, 24, of Farmville, was charged on April 24 with three counts Accessory After the Fact of First Degree Murder. Valerie Denise Blount, 30, of Snow Hill was charged on April 26 with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile in connection with the incident.

She is in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $3 million secured bond.  Investigation continues in this case.
