Ring Leader in Human Trafficking Organization Arrested
On October 28, a ring leader  in the Human Trafficking organization in Eastern North Carolina, Oscar Salinas-Rodriguez, DOB:  9/12/1974, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at a brothel house at 5770 Highway 264 East in Greenville that he operated. This prostitution operation is part of a larger criminal organization. 

After an on-going investigation by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, a female victim from Western North Carolina was identified and rescued.  She had been promised a cleaning job, but when she arrived, she was forced to engage in sex labor.
The victim had been held at the brothel for approximately one week.  Case workers with the Salvation Army are currently working with this victim to identify any victim service needs she may have.
Kenia Susana Valdez-Gomez, DOB:  4/24/1965, of Brooklyn, NY and Jose Machado Castro, DOB:  5/31/1991, of Wilson were also arrested and charged with  Solicit for Prostitution.  Both are in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. 
Salinas-Rodriguez is charged with Sexual Servitude Adult Victim, and remains in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond, as well as an immigration detainer.
The operation involved numerous partners of the Pitt County Human Trafficking Task Force to include the Salvation Army and ICE (Immigration, Customs Enforcement)
