Joint Investigation Leads to Three Arrests

 


A two month investigation by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Units lead to three arrests last night.

 

Michael Aaron Cartwright, 29; Willie Mac Clark, Jr., 41, and Joseph Vines, 46, were arrested during a search of 1408 Joel Lane.  Ten bricks of heroin were discovered.  Two vehicles and $3,000 were also seized.

 

Cartwright and Clark are charged with trafficking heroin. Both are in the Pitt County Detention Center.  Cartwright is under a $1 million secured bond, and Clark is under a $500,000 secured bond.

 

Vines is also in the Pitt County Detention Center for violating conditions of his pre-trial

release.

 

The street value of the 500 dosage units of heroin is estimated between $10, 000 and $14,000.
