Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested in Greenville 

A two month investigation into reported drug dealing in Pitt County has led to the arrest of Richard Haki Duarte, DOB:  7/30/1974, of 345 Moses Drive, Greenville.  During the course of the investigation, marijuana and cocaine were purchased from Duarte at his residence.

On April 26, narcotic’s investigators with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Richard Haki Duarte, DOB:  7/30/1974, of 345 Moses Drive, Greenville with four counts of Sell and Deliver Marijuana; four counts of Possession With the Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana;  one count of Sell and Deliver a Counterfeit Substance;  and two counts Maintaining a Dwelling House for Control Substance.

“Our narcotic’s unit continues to be aggressive in their pursuit of illegal activity in Pitt County.  This is a residential neighborhood.  We are hoping that with this arrest, the neighborhood will be a safer place for those families,” stated Sheriff Neil Elks.

Duarte was transported to the Pitt County Detention Center, where he is under a $75,000 secured bond.
