Three Arrested After Two County Pursuit

Deputies with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office have arrested three suspects after a two county pursuit that started in Martin County.

Kissy Kenta Cooper, 31, was the driver of the Dodge Magnum that fled the Williamston Wal-Mart Monday afternoon after Reginald Keith Fleming, 23, Markevon House, 19, and Cooper walked out of the store with two computers.

Once in Pitt County, deputies spotted the vehicle in Stokes on Highway 903 South.  The PCSO chased the vehicle down Highway 11 and then down Briley Road.

Cooper turned the vehicle into a random residence on Briley Road and drove to the back of the house in hopes of escaping deputies.  When she realized that the driveway was impassible, the three headed on foot into the woods behind the house.  The Greenville K-9 assisted the PCSO in tracking the three shortly after.

All three are in the Pitt County Detention Center charged with multiple charges in Pitt and Martin Counties.

Cooper is charged with Felony Possession of Stolen Property;  Flee/Elude Arrest;  Failure to Stop for a Blue Light and Siren;  Careless and Reckless Driving;  Resisting a Public Officer;  Felony Larceny;  Conspiracy to Commit Felony Larceny.  She is under a $69,000 bond.

Fleming and House are both charged with Felony Possession of Stolen Property; Resisting a Public Officer; Felony Larceny; Conspiracy to Commit Felony Larceny.  They are each under a $32,500 bond.

More charges are pending in this case.
