On April 11, the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office received a request for assistance from the Washington Police Department in reference to a stolen cell (iPhone).  WPD stated that the phone had been stolen during a car break-in the previous night. WPD had tracked the phone to the Greenville Mall.


Detectives with PCSO responded to the Greenville Mall and located the offenders with the assistance of mall security officers. 


After a brief interview, Marquise Kashawn Davis, DOB:  10/09/1993 of 5617 Rivercreek Drive in Washington admitted to selling the phone at the etoATM located in the mall.  Davis was arrested for one count of felony possession of stolen goods and felony obtaining property by false pretense.  He was transported to the Pitt County Detention Center and issued a $50,000 secured bond by the magistrate.


After further investigation, Dashon Marquise Goddard, DOB: 09/16/1994 of 394 Linda Drive in Washington and Larry Anthony Warren, DOB: 09/13/1992 of 5525 Fleta Street in Washington were both arrested at a later time for felony possession of stolen goods; felony obtaining property by false pretense; felony conspiracy to possess stolen goods; and conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense.


Both were transported to PCDC.  Goddard was issued an $8,000 unsecured bond and Warren was issued a $10,000 secured bond.


Davis was later charged with felony conspiracy to possess stolen goods; and conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense and issued an additional $25,000 secured bond. ($75,000 secured bond) 


All three suspects were charged by WPD for two counts of felony breaking and entering to a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny.
